Foundations Care (FoundCare) is an Australian not-for-profit organisation with over 20 years of experience, operating across Queensland, New South Wales, and Western Australia. They provide foster and kinship care, residential care, and youth justice services—supporting over 300 children, young people, carers, and birth families. Their mission is “to provide responsive and flexible support services and advocacy that make a positive impact on the lives of children, young people and families”. FoundCare’s approach is child-centred, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and research-driven. They ensure placements are well-matched and provide carers with comprehensive training, workshops, caseworker support, and ongoing encouragement. FoundCare collaborates closely with researchers, Elders, government agencies, behavioural scientists, and community leaders to develop innovative practices and improve client outcomes They are committed to helping children feel safe, accepted, and valued within their communities and actively strive to build stable, nurturing environments through professional support and evidence-based care.
